When should I expect next period

Hey ladies. I had a miscarriage on August 26th. It’s been 4 weeks and I still haven’t had a period. I bled for about a week and a half to two weeks I can’t really remember. But I’m trying to conceive and I’ve only had sex September 17th and today. I took a test today and it was negative. But I’m sure it’s to early to test since it’s only been 7 days. Should I test again next week or just continue to wait on my period.

Also ladies who have had miscarriages. When did you have your next period? Cause I feel like I’m behind. I’ve never been thru this before.
