Is it weird that most of the time after having sex w my bf he says Thank you, like idk to me it’s weird why does he have to thank me for that?

Is he the type of guy that is just generally appreciative/respectful and commonly saying thank you etc? When I have really good sex with my bf I sometimes say thank you haha. It isn't unheard of just a thing to say when you are extra appreciative of having sex.
