Dwelling on past events

Did you ever find out that someone in a past relationship might have been unfaithful after the relationship is over? Would you care even though time has passed and you’ve moved on?

A few years ago I found a message in my unfiltered messages where a girl told me that the guy I was dating was sending her explicit messages while we we’re together. I never got the message until after we broke up. But I responded and she insisted it was true and that he was a jerk & had done some pretty messed up stuff to people.

This is years later and for some reason it’s still bugs me. If she has a screen shot of the conversation from Facebook still, I feel like it would just help me see the person for who he really was and not glamorize our relationship from the past in any way. I know it would be so weird for me to ask her now but for some reason I feel like I need it. Like I need to know that that’s who he really was, and not who I thought ... ugh .

I know so many people will probably say who cares just move on don’t think about it why does it matter.. but as an introspective person who thinks so much about everything , I’m just different ..
