What kind of provider do you plan on having

My husband and I have been discussing having a home birth with a midwife. We have a few consultations next week. My last 2 births were at a hospital. 
I am curious what other mommas plans are.

I’ll be a repeat csection so OBGYN and hospital are my only choice. I had emergency csection with first after 5 days in labor with no progress.

Original plan was CNM at the hospital, but at my first appointment I was told I’ll likely have to get a c-section, so I may be doing some sort of combo of CNM and OB (my practice offers both).

I’m going with an MFM doctor at a hospital. I’m high risk and need the support. We aren’t worried about baby too much it’s me that we are worried about.

6wks5days. Hoping for a waterbirth/homebirth with a midwife, the husband, and possibly a doula. Going for my first appointment with a CNM at the nearby (7mins away) hospitals womens center at 10wks4days. Doing first ultrasound and full blood testing then, my goal is to get 1-2 ultrasounds and go there as little as possible, but I do want to make a connection there in case I might need transferring. Was told when I called that I would get a random OBGYN if I was admitted for an emergency C-section anyways so my plan is to do ultrasounds, labs, tests, etc through them with a CNM as my primary there while I am also currently looking for a Denver area midwife for a homebirth and to receive most of my care from her. We want to have a birthing tub, birthing ball, birthing stool, home birth kit, lubrication for an assisted birth if necessary to prevent 3rd degree tearing, a shower, a sep warm bath for prelaboring, a active husband willing to help with massages, to support me during labor, to catch, to cut the cord and assist with whatever this pregnancy/labor throws at us, and so much more. We are excited for our first and I am firmly set on delivering without needles in me if possible, and in as much peace as possible, and in a place I feel safe, for me, that is my home, I know if push comes to shove, lol, I can always get excellent hospital help, but my goal is to do this as nature has always asked of us and hope that my baby and I can do this at home May 2021💗 Good luck 4.9%ers🙏🙂 We got this ladies💪🏻

An at home water birth was always my dream labor and delivery. However, I’m type 1 diabetic which automatically makes me high risk so I HAVE to labor and deliver at a hospital with a doctor. 
If you’re not high risk and everyone is healthy I say if that’s something you want to do DO IT!

I was not high risk with my first. Full term and unexpectedly hemorrhaged after delivery and lost consciousness. I thank god every day I was at the hospital so they could save me and I could stay with my sweet baby. If you decide home birth, I’d just make sure a transfer could happen very quickly.
