Liletta IUD falling out?!?

Hey ladies, I just got the liletta iud two days ago, and have had horrible pain since. Well today it fell out... has this happened to anyone before? My doctors off ie opens at 11 so I’ll call them but kinda freaking out
Thank you for the help ladies!! I just had a baby 6 weeks ago so maybe that’s why?

Having recently given birth, yes you are at a higher risk of expelling an iud. Breastfeeding also contributes to the risk. See your doctor for a new iud or a different method of bc.

It can happen yes. It’s called IUD expulsion and basically your uterus rejected the IUD. 
It contracted and pushed it out by itself and that’s what all the pain was. 
This can happen when the IUD is too big for the uterus. You could try again with a smaller IUD like liletta. 
It can also happen when you’re given something like cytotec to soften the cervix. The reason they stopped doing that at so many clinics is because of the fact that it made IUD expulsion risk higher. 
You’re going to be okay, just make sure you get into the gynecologist and tell them what happened.

Your doctor will probably tell you your anatomy isn’t set up for An IUD.

My gynecologist told me I had to wait 3 months before having one inserted. Your cervix is probably still dilated a bit since you just gave birth a month ago

Aw man! I thought it was purple. I have the same IUD and I swear when I saw it before it was inserted that it was purple. I just wanted to know what my IUD looks like, I wish I had gotten a better look lol.
