Too religious?

My husband and I like the name Eli for our son. We are worried the name is too religious. We’re Jewish, but not orthodox. Opinions?

I feel like biblical male names aren’t associated nearly as much as female names. James, Luke, Eli vs. Esther, Naomi, Mary etc. Long story short, Eli is a great name and you should use it if you love it!

Eli is a very popular name where I am and I wouldn’t say any of those families are particularly religious (they might be, but I don’t know offhand).

My second baby was a girl but if she has been a boy her name would have been Eli. I LOVE the name and I don't think it's too religious at all

While it’s a religious name technically, I associate it more with biblical names like David and John (more “normal” names) than something like Gideon or Eliab. Just throwing it out there.
