Is this normal? FTM of a 2 month old

My baby is usually very happy right after nursing. He wants to smile, baby talk, play, look at things, etc., but around an hour later he starts crying. Since he yawns, we think he is tired. So we help him to sleep, which is very difficult during the day. He wakes a few times before he is ready to nurse again. Every time he wakes he cries a lot. It doesn't matter how sweet you are to him, how many cuddles or kisses you give him. He is clean, comfy and loved, but cries over and over and he doesn't want to do anything, so we help him sleep again, and we manage somehow to make him sleep and hold until the next feeding. During the night he is an angel.

Is this normal or is he in some sort of pain? I would like to play more with him or do something he enjoys.
