My husband and I charged his old iPhone the other night in search of a picture we took when we first started dating. While looking for this picture, we found an old Snapchat photo thread that he sent to another girl. He sent it to her in February, and we started dating in April. On the thread he said to her, “I’ve been waiting how many years to be your man???” And then some other things about him loving her and such. This was the first time I’ve ever seen this thread, and it seriously has me thrown off. In May, I saw a text from her pop up on his phone while he was over at my house, but he told me at the time that they didn’t have anything going on anymore, even though the text was her telling him to leave her alone and not contact her anymore. We’ve been married for 3 years now, together for 4, but we’ve had problems for about a year now with communication and him being emotionally distant. We see her around town every once in a while, and he gets all messed up about having seen her and then he’s in a bad/depressed/distant mood the rest of the day. He swears to me that he doesn’t have feelings for her anymore, but I can’t help but feel somewhat like he ‘settled’ for me because he couldn’t have her. Now I’m in this limbo of Facebook creeping on her and I can’t seem to move past it all. What would you make of this situation? How would you work towards moving on? What should I do from here?
