Bleeding after cervical check?

Hi ladies, just went to my 37 week appointment and she checked my cervix. Within 10 minutes of the check I had filled a panti-liner with dark red blood and a clot the size of about a tube of lipstick came out. 
I know you can bleed after being checked (never happened to me before) but how much is ok? Of course they are on their lunch break right now and not answering the phone...

I’m not sure. Usually they say light spotting. I’d call again after lunch to be sure. I wouldn’t say it warrants you rushing off to the ER right now or anything. But I would definitely check with them.

I went into the hospital last week due to my blood pressure and was checked twice while there, the 2nd time I was checked I looked when she was pulling her hand out and she has a big dark red blood clot looking thing in her hand, I asked my doctor if it could’ve been my mucus plug and it had just came loose from being checked so much (that was the 3rd time that day) and he told me yes, I also bled for 2 days after
