Should you get tested for corona if you are just going to stay home anyway?

If you're sick and you are SAHM and you plan on staying home and not going anywhere do you think you should still get tested or is it pointless if you're going to stay home anyway? I dont think going out and exposing people to sickness is smart and if you're not dying you should stay home

Depends. Your partner works outside of your house? Are you planning on going grocery shopping or paying bills or ordering food for the next 2 weeks? Your kids go to school or play outside?
If you answer yes for any of these questions, stay home

I got tested but only because I have a young one and am pregnant so I’m case anything progressed rapidly (I got worse) I wouldn’t have to wait for test results I would already know. If I was home alone without kids and not pregnant and my symptoms stayed mild I’d just not get tested and quarantine the 14 days probably

Ya, I thought I had strep and the doctors office asked if I wanted to get tested for Corona out of precaution since I have a baby and my husband works out of the home so I did. Figured nothing to lose. I go grocery shopping and go to the pharmacy so I still go out

I'm a SAHM, I am pregnant, and I developed a horrible intense cough for a week. I still have to do grocery shopping, doctors appointments, etc. plus there are too many high risk people in my family for me to not know for certainty if it was Covid or not. I say if you're showing symptoms and you're going to be around ANYONE - even strangers at the grocery store, GET TESTED. 
Luckily mine was negative. 
Also, if you aren't having symptoms there is no reason to get tested. Don't burden the labs with your "just because" test. Let them worry about testing people who are symptomatic and devote their time to giving those people results as quickly as possible.
