The journey leading up to this point was HARD. I didn’t know if I would be a breastfeeding mom or if I would even like it . I’m not a woman who likes their breasts touched so it was tough for me to decide. 🤦🏽‍♂️ When he was born , he wouldn’t latch. When we got home from the hospital he still wouldn’t latch, I wanted to cry thinking about my baby being hungry. Giving him formula was the LAST thing I wanted. I’m a health nut so just thinking about how I could possibly give him everything he needs but he wouldn’t take it, HURT. 😢 From the pumping on demand so he can eat every 2 hours , to my nipples cracking and being extremely sore. From the random tries but still no latching . No lactation support due to covid. I was lost . I never gave up on breastfeeding even after it being super painful . I wanted something and I’m so happy I stuck with it. ❤️ To all the new mothers with sore nipples , broken dreams and the strength to keep trying , you are amazing and your baby will thank you later. 💟 The bond I have with my son is something unexplainable and I am super happy we stuck it out together .
