Picked on for being an adult student

My husbands sister makes me feel insecure about being a student.

She was lucky enough to have a good foundation growing up and went to a nice college. Which is wonderful for them.

When I saw her last time, she again said “help me understand why you didn’t finish college yet”

(it was a sly comment, to hurt me. I can tell)

I told her, “I don’t have enough time to go over my life story with you”

I know I fucked up, I know I should have focused on college and not working. I know others have had a harder life and accomplished more than me.

But this is my journey. I can’t go back in time. I can only finish in the future. (I am 1.5 years away from bachelors of bioscience)

I just wanted to vent my hurt feelings.

Ultimately, she can’t control me or my thought but this one stung a little because I already think about this and my failures...
