If you told me yesterday I would deliver today, I would have told you thats crazy
Yesterday 10.14.20 was my due date, also my dad's birthday.
My first was induced, and I never felt him drop, contractions at home, ect.
This is my 2nd and last and I was so hoping to not be induced.
Last Friday the 9th I went for an appointment 80% effaced 0 dilation. Braxton hicks, even some minor real ones, nothing to crazy. Nothing to get my hopes up!
Yesterday, due date the 14th i had a 1:30 appointment. No contractions no bloody show, ect. But I was surprisingly 90% effaced 2cm ! Couldn't do a sweep because her head has been so low for weeks (even though I look high) we set an induction date for next week in hopes we won't need it.
The rest of the day went great playing with my son, hanging out with my mom. Telling everyone there is no way she's coming today! Till around 5pm. Ouch! Are those contractions?!?
My parents leave at 7:30ish I give my son extra hugs and kisses goodnight and I take a shower. Still having sporadic contractions.
My husband gets home 8:15 and is torture to watch since he's a nervous wreck. Finally midnight we go to the hospital, I'm 4 cm! They bring me to a room and by 2:40 I get an epidural, its HEAVEN. It feels so much better than when I had my son!
By 4:30 I'm asking if them breaking my water will hurt and the doctor laughs and said "I already did it!"
They try to have me push around 5am. But I feel like I'm on cloud 9 from the epidural still.
By 6:15 my nurse checks on me and decided to get a peanut ball to stick between my legs, when she gets back shes like whoa! Nope!!
And at 6:37 am my beautiful daughter is born sunny side up.
10.15.20
8lbs 3oz
21 inches long
1 degree tear
And I'm feeling so surprisingly well!
