SETRALINE ? Pls help

So I’ve recently been prescribed setraline for my depression and I just want to hear people’s experiences with this kind of anti depressants.
I’ve never been on any kind of medication for my depression so I don’t really know what to expect. I know it’s different for everyone . I also read that it ruins people’s sex life? I guess I’m just wondering if it’s worth taking them. I’m staring with a small dosage 50mg for the first 2 weeks .

I’ve been on it for 2 years and love it. When I first started it was definitely harder to orgasm but I’m on 150mg now and have no problems.

hmmm i take it never thought there was a problem but that sex thing hmmm maybe that’s why i’m not really a sexual being anymore

That medication was amazing for me. It turned my whole life around. I wasn’t sexually active when I was on it so I can’t really speak to how it affected my sex drive. I don’t remember any big drop in my libido though, I still masturbated lol. It made me not feel super happy about things, I was pretty neutral most of the time, but that was better than being miserable and was worth it for me. I was in therapy too and weaned off sertraline after a couple years.

It maybe effected my love life for like a week or two (just harder to orgasm) and I was a little dizzy and out of it for a few days max. It has helped me tremendously and in ways that I wasn’t even expecting. It is one of the meds most likely to be well tolerated, but there is of course a chance that it’s not the med for you

I was on it for a long time. It really helped me. It didn't affect my sex drive but everyone is different.  Good luck! I hope it makes you feel better!
