Help! Old house, lots of bugs

We just got our first house and it is 80 years old. Our first floor is above the basement, and there are holes here and there in the wood floors and wood baseboards. Bugs crawl up from the basement, through the holes in the wood, and into our living space. We had a wolf spider in our bedroom last night. How can I decrease the amount of bugs I’ve been finding? It’s usually just house centipedes and wolf spiders, no huge deal. But still preferable that they get out 😂
