My mom making me say “hi” to people
I’m 17 and going through a depressed stage in life. I’ve always suffered from it on and off and I get into modes where I’m isolated and don’t want to be bothered. It’s nothing against anyone but zoning out and isolating is actually what pulls me out of feeling depressed. However my mom has her friends over or company in general and insists on making me come out to say hi and have conversation with them. I know it’s courteous to speak when someone’s in your home but it’s draining and I’m constantly being called rude by my mom for not wanting to come down and speak. Or speaking from the top of the stairs..... Am I wrong?? Or is my mom wrong? I just don’t think that she understands having a conversation is a lot to a depressed individual
