Friday checkin 10/23

Hey ladies!!!! I hope you all had an amazing week. How is everyone? Any milestones or exciting things happening?

I’ll be 30 weeks on Sunday 😱 I can’t believe Only 10 weeks to go! My shower is/was supposed to be tomorrow. I had a super crazy week this week. So my sister and I were going to have a joint shower. She is 1 week ahead of me. The shower was going to be at my aunts house.

This past Sunday my sister was feeling terrible. She had shoulder pain, rib pain, a really awful headache and blurred vision. She called her dr and he immediately told her to go to the ER. She was admitted with severe preeclampsia and had to have a csection scheduled for Tuesday. They wanted to keep the baby in for as long as possible to give her the steroid shots for the lungs. So my sister had a csection on Tuesday!! I’m an aunt! The baby is beautiful, small but beautiful. She was 2lbs 10oz and 15 3/4” long. But she’s doing great. She just got downgraded to the lower cpap machine because her breathing has been pretty good. The doctors told my sister the baby will probably be in NICU for at least 6 weeks before coming home. My sister should get discharged tomorrow.

So back to the shower, my mom and I didn’t feel comfortable having the original shower my sister was so looking forward too when she wasn’t able to come anymore. So we decided to change it to a drive by shower at my house. Which I’m actually feeling much better about because I was worried about Covid since there was 39 people coming.

It’s also really freaking me out that my baby could be born now and be ok. Definitely be in NICU. But it’s insane she could be outside! My baby has been kicking like crazy since her baby was born. It’s like she knows and wants out to play with her cousin! We also chose a name! We are going with Lilian Rose. We are going to call her Lily for short, but I wanted her to have a non floral name choice if she wanted.

Whoa that was a lot! Hahaha
