Inductions before due date

I am somewhat confused on something I don’t quite understand. Not sure if it is where we live but it is bothering me. My #1 was 9 years ago and we went 4 days passed due date until my water broke, etc.

This time around I am 22 weeks and I had three friends deliver this year one with her #3 and two of them with their #1. All of them got induced, before their due date, without any pregnancy complications. Why? Why is everybody getting induced??

I don’t believe in induction unless it is necessary for medical reasons. Why not go over due date a little. If baby isn’t ready to come, wait a few days.

I always heard about risks of induction and now nobody seems to care. Just get that baby out ASAP. That bothers me so much for some reason.
