I need advice.

I feel like I'm seriously losing my mind. I have a 5 year old and a 4 month old. I try to make time every day to give my 5 year Old individual attention but I'm at my wits end because she absolutely will not play on her own. If i tell her go in her room and play until i can play with her she will literally just sit in there staring at her toys or walls or just lay down. I've been trying to entertain her and the baby so much that my house is a complete disaster, its really embarassing. My 5 year old will literally lay on the couch all day if i don't play with her. How can i stop this? Weekends are awful cause there's no school and if i don't have a fun filled Saturday and Sunday planned every weekend she complains about how she hates being home because she's bored and she acts sad all day. I'm going crazy constantly entertaining.
