To dorm or not to dorm? Help!

So my college is entirely online this tri and the next. I was at home this tri. However, I met a really great person that I feel like could evolve into a really good friendship. She wants to dorm next tri; however, I already live like 2 miles away from campus (she lives in Hawaii) so I feel like I might just be shut in a small room with crappy wifi and a hard mattress for 4 months. Or I could love it.

Does anybody have any input? What would you do? I’m currently at home.
