Chlamydia

Does anyone know if you go in for a Pap smear and it comes back that you have chlamydia and they report it to the health department and they also give you a one dosage of meds for you and your now partner, will the health department call me and my partner and check up on us in a week or so or will they not even bother?

My doctors office said don’t be surprised if they do call, but I really want to save myself and my partner that embarrassed.
