Insight/Help I’m confused don’t know what’s next...

Sooooo I have someone I really like for one he’s not my type at all and he’s very different smart funny all the good things I think...so far, I’ve been knowing him since July we’ve hung out a few times and had sex a few times also...I feel like he gives mixed signals about things or idk if I should back off or not. I had said something about him not answering my FaceTime or call bcuz he does every time no matter if he working or not. So 1 time after I put it on him (his sex game is bomb also)😬😜 he mumbled “this is gonna cloud my judgement” the next day he sent me this text

There was also one time when we were supposed to go to a virtual reality pub and hang out and he had said this

I’m to the point of idk what to do should I keep talking to him or ask him flat out what he wants to do? I’ve noticed he slacked off on reaching out but we still talk & it’s mostly when I do first. He still shows interest just not like at first🤷🏽‍♀️. How can you not wanna like someone too much yet, I had kinda thought it was too late and he’s backing off or idk idk..just some words or thoughts on something I’m missing. I know he’s not with anyone else but I did at one point think he met someone or was talking to someone else????
