What’s the earliest you can ovulate?

I’m wondering what the earliest you can ovulate on a 28 day cycle is? I know it’s supposed to be around CD 14ish, but has anyone confirmed ovulation well before that?  
I’m on CD 13 currently (ovulation is supposed to be tomorrow according to this app)... but I feel SO positive that I ovulated like 4-5 days ago, is that possible? I’m fairly in tune with my body and ALL of the signs were there that it happened on CD8 or 9. 
I’m not using OPKs as this is my first cycle TTC, but I’ll probably try them next month.

I would definitely encourage you to try using OPKs. I have a 23-28 day cycle. irregular enough to be annoying to me but not irregular enough to be considered medically irregular 🙄.
I was certain I ovulated really early, but it turns out the 14 days from ovulation to the beginning of my next AF is really, really consistent, which is frustrating because that means the first half of my cycle is the variable half..also the half when I'm BD to TTC.
So for example, sometimes my cycle is only 23 days (ovulate on day 9), sometimes my cycle is 26 days (ovulate on day 12), and sometimes it's 29 days (ovulate on day 15).
Long story short, you just don't know until you use OPKs or get really consistent with temping.

I’ve read a normal luteal phase is anywhere from 11-17 days. 14 is just average!
