Commitment issue?

Does a guy have to come out and directly ask you to be his girlfriend? Hes said many things inferring that im his girl ? Does it sounds like a commitment issue? I have been seeing him for a month or so and we are very much in love on cloud 9 when im with him. He had been engaged 2 years ago and she had a kid with a prior man and said things just didn't work out.

In the beginning of our relationship, I wasn't sure what we were. He always introduced me as his friend, but I thought it was more than friends. I finally asked him what we were. He then asked if I wanted to be introduced as his girlfriend and I said yes, because that's what I wanted. He didn't think that's what I wanted, so he always said friend.

Doesn't sound like a commitment issue necessarily. Maybe just a communication one. He may be assuming that you're his girlfriend without asking you. My husband back in the day was calling me his girlfriend for a month, and eventually sat me down saying "you're with me now, right?" Lol guys don't have to ask to move in the next step as boyfriend and girlfriend. If your relationship is already like that, he may just be assuming you are his girlfriend and that you're relationship has taken the next step on it's own.
