Why tf do moms do this shit

This is basically just a rant but WHY do moms call other moms “momma” or “mama”. Tbh that shit is so weird, especially if they don’t even know each other😂 I don’t have kids but if I did and some random ass lady called me mama I’d probably vomit.

Edit: yeah, obviously they’re mothers, but they’re not EACH OTHER’s mothers is what I’m saying 😂

That gets filed away in the same place as people saying “hubby”, “hubs”, “preggo” or “preggerz”. Literally makes my skin crawl when people say that 🤮. This is also definitely more of a specific regional thing in the UK but people who say “hospicle” instead of hospital or “babby” instead of baby make me want to vomit 😂

I do that when I’m photographing families, because the kids relate to it better. But I think it’s just acknowledging another mom, like a were in it together thing in other situations.

I’ve never thought anything of it. I work at a small business that are mostly women and every time one of us has got pregnant everyone calls the new mom momma. I’m currently 23 weeks and most of the women who have kids already call me momma even my mom who works with me. I think it’s sweet. No harm in it.
