POF account verify text

So I noticed my husband had a text from Plenty of Fish, the dating site, about a verification code. I confronted him about because we’ve been married for 5 years and he hasn’t been on it since then. He says he was just trying to delete his account but forgot his password so they made him put in his phone number to verify it was him and reset it. Can anyone verify that actually happens? Once I confronted him he deleted his account right in front of me but I’m still scared he has another account somewhere and could be lying.
