Ways to make friends

Now, I don’t have many female friends. I have about one friend but she lives very far. I tried making friends online specifically On eve but so many women on here are snarky for no reason. I think I’m also doomed because of the pandemic. I would love to have a closer friend. I’m in NYC. I am a mom in my late 20s. I think that’s why I also have a hard time connecting. Well, if anyone has suggestions I’m open to them.
