Boogers and tweezers

Has anyone else used tweezers to unplug their little ones hardened boogers from their nose? When they are asleep of course lol my son is one and I always take them out that way in the middle of the night when I hear him having a hard time breathing and since his nostrils are so little of course my fingers arent an option
