How many ounces do you fill your bottles?

So I’ve just switched to almost exclusively pumping and I’ve started with like 3 ounce bottles but sometimes baby girl doesn’t finish them or falls asleep. What should I try/change so that I’m not wasting my precious breast milk hahaha my nipples cry every time she doesn’t finish 😅

We started with 2 oz(we use formula) then when we felt like he was consistently eating that and occasionally wanting more, we started doing 2.5 oz. my boy is 6 weeks now and he still only eats 2.5-3 oz every time. If he’s still hungry we get him another oz

Do you need to toss it? My LC said breast milk is good at room temp for 6hrs, the fridge for 6 days, and the freezer for 6 months. If my milk is still within those ranges I don’t dispose of it.

I always start with about 2 oz and warm up more if she still seems hungry. I’d rather have to warm more up than dump milk and waste it! My older daughter never took more than 4oz bottles even as she got older

Ok perfect!!! 2.5 is a good start I like that. Haha we were doing 3/3.5 and like most times she will do it but I’m noticing more and more it’s going to waste and I definitely don’t want to make a habit of that!!
