What do you think of tattoos?

I belong to a Christian religion not so long ago I have always wanted  to get a tattoo i am already baptized. If I get a tattoo is that a sin? Please Don’t judge?

Most people will site Leviticus 19:28 to say that tattoos are a sin. The verse states “do not make any cuts on you... or tattoo yourselves.” This portion of scripture is instructing the Hebrews how to separate themselves with the pagan culture around them. The Cannanites were known for branding and cutting in sacrifice for their gods. Egyptians tattooed themselves for various reasons. For me, this reads more as instruction to avoid actions that would align you with the world and not with God. 
Also, Leviticus is the religious law of the Old Testament, of which much (not all) was abolished due to Christ’s sacrifice. Paul said “whatever you do, do to the glory of God” (1 Corinthians 10:31). Ask yourself, will this tattoo honor God? Or will it be harmful to your witness? Tattooing, for me anyways, seems like a decision between you and God. Jesus made it clear that it is the heart that matters over anything else and outward expression simply signifies what the heart contains. You have to decide what your motive for this tattoo is and go from there.

As someone else said its between you and God. do what feels right for you  don't listen to other people

If you think it is, then, for you, it is. Anything against your conscience is a sin for you. The real issue you need to face is what happens/happened to all your sins? Did Jesus take them all? Are you walking according to His Holy Spirit by faith or still trying to keep laws to save yourself? Have you trusted Jesus saved you before you even existed? Or are you just trying to be a good person and hope to be good enough?

Not it's not...It's not what a person puts or eats that make him or her unclean.
You are free just think long and hard.
