Belly Button

My LO umbilical stump fell off when she was about 1 week or so, since then her belly button was oozing a little, but then stopped. Then we went on a roadtrip & when she pooped it blew out to the top & her belly button had poop on it. I cleaned it off but now at 1 month, it looks a little pink as if irritated & it smells a little. How long does a belly button actually take to heal after the umbilical stump falls off & what else can I do to clean it a little better?
