Scared of dying in labour?

Hi mamas,
I’ve had complications in the past that have left me traumatized about dying in labour like a huge hemorrhage etc.
I have two kids and that is the only reason I’m scared. If this was a first baby thing..I wouldn’t really think about death but I have anxiety and fear and sadness.
My solution before covid was going to bring my kids with me so they were near incase something happened but of course now I can’t due to covid rules.
Anyone else have these feelings??? I have a counselling and everything but can’t shake my fear away.

Try hypnobirthing to relax: more than 300.000 babies are born each day. Our bodies are made to do is. I did it with my second baby and it was such a difference.
Are you going to give labour in a hospital? They have everything they need to help you even in case of an adverse event. 
I know it is difficult, but please try to seek help to relax. If you are stressed or tensed it can make labour even more difficult.

2 years ago on December 13 I lost a sister in law to labor complications. I have not been the same since and I had said I would never have anymore babies out of fear . I am now 29 weeks pregnant and I am experiencing everything you just said and I have actually had a hard time to connect with my unborn baby because of it . Sometimes I feel like I can’t get excited and love this baby because the fear on Dying during labor is alway with me and also feel responsible for leaving my 2 other children behind. My anxiety has gotten better but it’s always there especially when I’m around my brother and the beautiful baby boy she left behind. I have talk to my doctor and she told me I would get worse as I get closer to my due date but after labor she hopes it will just go away.

I understand your concerns, with my first the nurses told me afterwards we both almost died and I'm terrified of something happening this time. I think discussing it with your doctor is one of the only things you can really do, and trust that everything will be ok. I'm trying not to stress about it but I know as soon as I'm in labor it's all I will think about. Hang in there! Wish I could offer better advice, but you're not alone 💕

Make sure you have orders in place for who will care for your children, where your belongings go, what to do in the event of having brain death, etc 
Once you have kids and a family these things become important. Make sure your wishes are known in advance. My mom just passed away from cancer at age 64 and she had brain death. She didn’t have any living will or anything in place other than a property will she made about 20 years ago. The decision to take her off ventilator fell to my dad due to being married. It was a hard decision for him to make that now he has to live with. Those wishes should have been in place already.
