Low amniotic fluid level? Anyone with experience?

Question

I read a normal AFL is 8-18. Mine is 6.05 and I have to go back in 2 weeks for a recheck ultrasound. What can I expect if I’m still at that number, possibly below that number? I’m due Jan 31st so I’m 28 weeks 4 days. I’ve never had this happen and it’s baby #4 for me.

I was just release for the hospital yesterday once again. My level was 5.5 then they gave me a bunch of fluids and it went back up to 5.9 in 12 hours. The doctor said to make sure I up the amount of fluid I’m drinking. So just drink a lot more water and make sure you do baby count. 10 kicks in 2 hours if that decreases go to the ER.

I agree with angie comment drink lots and lots of fluid yesterday i went in for my 36 week scan and bby afl is 7.1 which is on the low side i have to go back next week and check again if it gets lower bby will be born at 37 weeks good thing is they catched yours early so dr can monitor and help you

I have low fluid . I left my ultrasound yesterday but I didn’t ask what my levels were but if it does continue being low they’ll eventually induced you for babies safety . I’ll be discussing it with my midwife tomorrow , I’m 32+4 so I’m hoping to bake a little longer if If they’ll allow me to go to 37 weeks that’s better . Just continue drinking a lot of water love
