Bleeding early on Provera

Hey y'all. So I was prescribed provera to give me a normal period since I am so irregular and have pcos, however I'm a bit confused because I started to bleed on day 8 of the 10 pills that I took. It was consistent bleeding and was bright red, and even soaked my panties. I finished the last two pills, but was confused on when to take my clomid. Would I count the first day of bleeding as my "period" or would I count the first day of heavy bleeding as my period. I just don't want to mess up my clomid timing and want to get pregnant asap. Help?
