Is this dangerous?

So my husband has 3 days off a week, which is when he helps me with our son, who is 2 months. Every time, and I'm talking EVERY TIME my so has cried or gotten fussy in the past 24 hours my husband has shoved a bottle in his face (he's formula fed). He's eaten 12 oz in the last four hours and has spit up with each feeding. My husband keeps feeding him because my baby keeps taking it but I feel like we are over feeding him. It's making me paranoid. Is this okay?

I was told babies will eat and eat if its offered. They dont know that they're full. If he's recently been fed go through the check list. Does he have gas, does he need to burp, is he too hot or too cold, is he tired, does he just want a cuddle? Dad is gonna have to learn that it's not always hunger.

He’s crying or fussing probably due to a stomach ache from being over fed. If ur husband can’t deal with the baby then just handle the situation. He sounds ridiculous.

Spitting up is an indication that baby is being over fed. At that age my son was having 3-4oz every 3hrs. This can stretch baby’s stomach.

He needs to spend more time with the baby so he can read him/her better, I bet he Is confused and trying to do his best. Give him this punch list and tell him to follow it on this order to avoid over feeding.
1. Does he/her needs a diaper change? (Check diaper)
2. Is baby cold or hot? (Check for cold feet and/or hands, or sweat)
3. Is baby uncomfortable, bored or just what’s somebody to carry him/her? (Carry baby and see if that helps)
4. Does baby has some gas? (Since you are already carrying the baby try to burp him/her)
5. Is baby sleepy? (If baby is calm and yo swing him/her will fall sleep)
6. Is he hungry? (Is he sucking his hands, moving his legs?) Offer the pediatrician recomienden amount and look for signs of fullness like pushing bottle with tongue, moving head side to side. *feed him/her on a sit up position that helps baby to control the flow.
7. Is baby feeling sick? (Look for any symptoms specially if the way baby cries is different from usual).
8. Take off everything including diaper (look for ants, loose threads, tags, etc)
9. If nothing works call pediatrician.

12 oz in 4 hours is a lot. My son at 2 months was eating about 3oz every 2-3 hours at that age. All babies are different but it sounds like your husband thinks that baby crying must mean he’s hungry which isn’t correct. I would introduce a pacifier or maybe he just needs to be rocked or walked around. Sometimes babies just cry, they can’t communicate with us so that’s their only option. I would tell your husband to stop constantly offering him food. Or just give like an ounce and then give a pacifier. Your pediatrician can give you a feeding chart as well regarding the recommended amount and frequency

Sometimes baby just needs stimulation, try toys that make noise or with moving parts or lights.  Always go in order when a baby cries. 1.check diaper ( they will cry when diaper is dirty) 2. Burp them even if they didn't just eat gas hurts.   3. Massage belly ( I Love U method works great, or bicycle method) again gas hurts. 4. Pick baby up maybe hes bored . 5. Then if none of those things work try feeding if not then pacifier. Keep track of feeds this will help alot most babies eat on schedule. IF BABY IS SPITTING UP AFTER FEEDS THAT OFTEN HE IS FULL. don't over feed baby it can harm them.
