Anybody been induced via cervadil?

Question

Currently in the hospital awaiting midnight to be induced via cervadil. I have preeclampsia again. With my first son I was induced a different way. Just curious on how long it took, if there were contractions or not, overall experience. Thanks!

I only have gotten cervadil to soften and thin out my cervix. Then I got pitocin to start up contractions. Never got multiple doses of it to induce.

For some people cervadil will start contractions but it’s generally  used to soften the cervix. They leave it in overnight and will take it out tomorrow when they start something else like pitocin.

Aw so sorry to hear that you have preeclampsia but congratulations on your little one & i pray for a safe delivery... I’m 1 week & 1 day postpartum i got induced last Sunday night that lasted until Wednesday i got induced with Cervadil i had 3 dose the first one was at 11pm orally on Sunday i was only 1cm dilated and started feeling contractions about 30 mins after receiving the first dose my contractions were 2-4 mins apart lasting a minute long my doctor had to stop my second dose for 3/4 hours due to my contractions being so close but i was still only 1cm by the time i got my second dose it was 8am Monday orally again but this time my contractions picked up stronger and still 2-4 mins apart i was still only 1cm when the 4 hours were up so i got the bulb and that last 12 hours but i got it took out at 10 hours due to the amount of pressure i was feeling and i was 4cm then i ended up getting Pitocin up to the max 😭 20 but it wasn’t changing anything with my cervix contractions were 1 min apart and lasting a min i was literally dying i cried for them to turn it off and that’s when i received my 3rd dose of Cervadil but this time they put it inside my cervix ... after a hour i got into the jetted tub i was still having horrible contractions and i sat in the tub for a hour when i got out literally a hour later my water broke & 30 mins afterwards they started the Pitocin back up i got my epidural that didn’t work unfortunately and 45 mins afterwards i felt like i had to push and i had my little guy 
I had Cervadil with all 3 of my children ( i got induced with all of them )

I was induced with it with my second baby. They weren't sure if it would work but it did a little to well lol. Was induced at 8 pm and gave birth at 1:16 am. Contractions were on top of another short short breaks in between. I wasn't able to get an epidural because the contractions were so intense and not enough time in between to stay still long enough for the needle.
