going to the beach pregnant? advice!!!

hii everyone!! we’re planning a beach trip for next year (likely in the spring so i won’t be too close to my due date) and i was wondering if anyone has ever been to the beach while pregnant. is it even enjoyable? i’ll be 16 when we go and i feel like i will be very self conscious about my belly. if you’ve been to the beach pregnant please let me know what ur experience was like and if you would recommend it. thank uuu <33

I was in Hawaii when I was 16 weeks with my first. It was nice and relaxing. I felt like I looked chubby (looking back, I didn’t) so I carried What To Expect When Expecting 😂

I live in Hawaii, and am basically always at the beach. Just floating in the water relaxes everything. Just wear sunscreen and stay hydrated. The beach is good fit you. And like my 8 year old says, “Mom! You are basically like a submarine for my baby brother right now!” 🤪

My mom was pregnant with me and lived near the beach. She was there almost everyday walking on the sand, enjoying the sun, wearing bikinis or one pieces. She loved it. I don’t think you’ll be sad watching your family or friends enjoy an attraction you might not be able to partake in because watching them be filled with joy and happiness at something will make you happy! Not to mention- you have the greatest excuse to NOT do things you don’t want to and just relax by the water or take a nap if you want! 
Relax and have fun how you want to, and cherish the memories of the trip so you can tell your new little one all about the fun trip and share all the photos of your time there and say “Look, heres mommy and in her tummy is you!”. Some of my favorite photos of my mom are of her very pregnant with me in a swim suit with her tan looking absolutely radiant and happy at the beach. 🥰 
Try not to be self concious- your body is beautiful. Baby bump or no baby bump. Stretch marks or none. All of those things mean LIFE and life is a beautiful thing.

You may not even be as big or noticeable as you think at 16 weeks. And usually water to relaxing. You'll be fine hon. Hormones got ya overthinking lol

I live in a tropical country so I’m at the beach almost every weekend (I’m currently 17w6d) and I can tell you being in the ocean is so relaxing. I definitely recommend going!
