How old for first sleepover at grandparents?

Question

My son is almost 6 months old and his grandparents are dying to do an overnight with him. He still wakes up 2x a night to eat and is an early riser at 6AM. 
Have any of you had your baby sleep over somewhere other than home? If so, how old were they and how did it go?

My 5 year old was a little over 1 and was sleeping through the night. My 3 month old won’t stay over night until she is also sleeping through the night.

I didn't let anyone take my daughter until she was about a year and a half. And I only did because I was pregnant again and really needed the break because I was so sick lol

You can always have his grandparents watch him during the day. I have to feed my daughter throughout the night so my parents and inlaws understand that while our baby is at this stage they can only see her during the day. I'm not sure when I'll feel comfortable leaving her alone overnight yet but I'm sure like anything parenting-wise it all comes with time. Of course if you want your son to sleep over at night you can always explain the feeding situation and give pumped or bottled milk ahead of time if your stash allows it to them if you want them to watch your kid overnight.

My little guy was 10 months old. We were traveling about 8 hours away for a wedding and came back the next day. We figured between 16 hours in the car plus how loud receptions are, we’d leave him with my in-laws. They had a blast! Got plenty of texts and pictures so I knew he was fine the entire time.

Do it! I voted as one of the ones who waited until their son was over a year old. Mainly because I was in California and family in Indiana for the first year of my son's life. I would have given anything for an over night break. It's good for the two of you! My son is almost two and has only stayed one night, in his own home, away from us because we still live hours away now. I wish things were different for us. I've learned that grandparents don't offer if they can't do it, so I say take advantage if they're ready!

Do it! I highly recommend it! Both you and the grandparents will benefit. You’ll miss your LO like crazy but it is going to feel great to sleep in. 
Our LO has her first sleep over at 6 months and then at 1 year my husband and I went on a 5 day vacation and my daughter stayed with my parents the entire time. I cried like a baby every night, but my daughter did fantastic and now has a beautiful bond with them 🥰

My LO spent the first night at grandma's at about 3 months old. It was such a good thing. Baby bonded with grandma and mom and dad got a much needed break.

Wow I guess I’m the odd one out. I didn’t let my son go away from me for more than 9 hours until he was 3.  I didn’t let him go overnight with grandma until he was 4 and that felt too soon.

I don't think there is a certain age requirement. As long as you are comfortable leaving and the people who have the baby are trustworthy I don't see an issue with sleepovers at any age
