Is this fat or extra skin?

I just had a baby in August. I’m confused about this flap on my belly. Is it fat or extra skin? If it’s extra skin am I pretty stuck with it for good? I used to be pretty skinny before I got pregnant so it is really messing with my self image.

You just grew an entire human inside your body!!  Your body moved everything around to accommodate this tiny human over the course of 9 months. It’s going to take some time for things to go back. Remember that when you’re feeling self conscious. ❤️

It is the fat on the area where the baby was growing. It tends to sag a little bit when the baby is out because you don’t have baby pushing it outward anymore. It can definitely be gotten rid of. I highly recommend riding a stationary bike because the bicycling motion while stabilizing your core helps with lower abdomen pooch. And HIIT exercises especially mountain climbers will be super helpful. Also look up postpartum abdominal workouts on YouTube and there’s lots to choose from.

I think it’s a mix of both but u can exercise and it’ll tone up
