My baby is about 9 lbs. is this normal or high? It feels high. She seems insatiably hungry.

I’m glad to read this because my son eats 4oz at a time and takes about 6-7 bottles in 24 hours.
I had many nurses at his last appointment mention that that is a lot for his age (month old) but he was hungry when I tried to stop at 3! Sometimes he is okay with 3 but it always makes me nervous when he eats 4.

Cluster feeding is common at that age! My baby was 9lbs at birth and at the 1 month visit went up to 12! I just fed her when she was hungry. They told me to feed her if she is hungry and not to force it.

There's a cluster feeding period around 2-3 weeks and again at 4-6weeks. But be sure to pace feed - it's really easy to overfeed with a bottle.
