I recommend doing an Amazon, Target or Babylist registry. They provide check lists that were super helpful to guide what you may need for the little one! 
Some of the main things:
- Bassinet 
- Crib
- Crib Mattress
- Changing table or pad 
- Dresser 
- Stroller
- Car Seat
- Baby Carrier (wrap, sling, or ergobaby)
- Pump (if you have insurance you’ll get your pump through them) 
- Glider / Rocker / Nursing Chair
- Clothes (newborn - 12M) 
- Bath accessories
- Diaper Bag
- Wipes
- Diapers
