Possibly becoming SAHM - advice?

Brianna

Hey ladies! There’s a good chance I may be losing my job in the next couple weeks due to restructuring/layoffs. I’m stressed out, and the waiting and not knowing is the worst part. I’m supposed to be on paid maternity leave for a couple more months (I have 2 month old), but if I get laid off, my paychecks obviously would stop. I would be looking for a new job if that happens, but my husband says he’s “not worried about it” and we can live on his income. His lack of stress is really helping me stay calm, but my anxiety also has my mind running all over the place 🙃

So, there’s a chance I could just not get a new job and be a SAHM, at least for awhile. I’m also a FTM, so I’m curious if y’all have tips for being a successful SAHM? How to stay sane if I’m home pretty much all the time, not having my own income, etc. My mom was a SAHM for years when I was little and I LOVED it. I would love to give that kind of childhood to my kids, but I never really saw myself being a SAHM until now so I’ve never really thought about what it actually takes to do it. I know it won’t be easy, so I would love to hear your experiences and advice.
