Giving myself a middle name?

Im Dominican. My mother named me Brittney which annoys me so much. Have you ever met an Hispanic Brittney? Neither have I. I’ve had hispanic customers at work tell me that my name is weird and no one, not even people in my family, can spell it right. It says “BRIYNEY” on my work schedule. People also just assume that I don’t speak Spanish and don’t even get me started on the “It’s Brittney Bitch” comments.

I want something that’s actually apart of my culture but I don’t want to go through the hassle of changing my first name, getting a new passport, a new I.D, etc. and also my mother already told me that she’d be devastated and insulted if I changed my name, so I was wondering if I could just add on a middle name on paperwork without changing it legally? And when I start a new job, could I ask that they refer to me by my “middle name”?
