Question

My 10 month old is standing for a few seconds at a time. How much longer until he starts taking steps you think?? Just curious to hear some stories!
Also, what are ways to help encourage better balance? We are all about play time and using the good ole floor/walls, etc.

My son was standing at 9-10 months, pulling himself up around the same time but didn’t start independently walking until 15 months.

My 2 youngest boys were walking at 10months.

My daughter started at 10 months. Honestly we got her this super cheap lightweight walker while on vacation and it was so light she was zipping everywhere at 90mph. I think that's when she REALLY realized she could make herself move. Her usual walker was much bulkier, she would move around in it but not great. We used the little one for a week and when we got home she just started walking.

My daughter started walking at 9.5 months and I will say one of the biggest helps for her was those walker toys! I tried to find a picture but the app won't let me go back far enough. But she got good at using it to help her stand, she'd take a step and fall and get back up. Then before you know it they're cruising them around!
