Rock climbing toddler

My 18 month old has recently become obsessed with rock climbing. We have a small rock wall that he will climb up and honestly I’m shocked at how good he is. Watching him look for the best holds and seeing how he’s placing his feet is kind of blowing my mind! I know it’s supposed to be really good for their development, too! He’s very high-energy so it’s been an awesome way for him to get some of that out. So my question is, have any of you actually taken your kids legit rock climbing at around two years old? I’ve been reading some forums that say as long as the harness fits them properly it’s a perfectly safe activity, and they make full body harnesses for toddlers.

I don’t feel like he’s ready right in this moment because we’re still working on basic communication 😂 but I’d love to take him maybe late spring/summer if he’s seeming more ready!
