Will you be getting a COVID Vaccine?

I live about a mile from Pfizer’s global manufacturing plant and it was hopping today with news crews! Really cool to be witnessing history, and also filled with gratitude for the men and women (including many of my neighbors!) working their tails off to produce millions of doses. 💪🦠💉
As a healthy individual not in any of the risk categories, I likely won’t be receiving the vaccine until late Spring/Summer - but I’m so thankful for all the smarty smarts out there who have developed these vaccines. Cannot wait for things to get back to “normal!” And to get back out into the world with my kids! Moming during the pandemic has been especially taxing.

I won’t be getting it. My employer is pushing us to have early access because we are a critical business manufacturing artificial heart valve products that patients with heart murmurs/a fib would die without. So- our VP is in talks with the governor on how to prioritize us ahead of the general public. 
That being said there isn’t enough research done. When we have a heart valve go through approvals, it takes YEARS. How can a made up chemical not take as long to understand the side effects? I’m going to wait at least a year to see what some longer term side effects are and then decide from there.

Nah. When you can show me the long term effects and data, I’ll consider it. 
We are a fully vaccinated family (except flu) but I absolutely refuse to be someone’s scientific guinea pig.

Absolutely not getting it not allowing my children to get it either. The flu shot has been around how long? People still get the flu people still die from the flu, the flu virus adapts and changes. They can’t even make a shot for cancer after years of research. Not trusting a shot they came up with in a matter of months! No one will know long term effects. I’ll take wearing a mask even though I can’t breathe with one over not knowing what the shot could do!

Yes and no. You can't have it while pregnant and breastfeeding anyway and even after that ill be at the bottom of the list to be invited for it. BUT if you read past the scaremongering posts in england, the amount of money and research that has gone into this vaccine is the same as any other...just over a shorter time. Its been tested on way more people than a lot of other vaccines and out of the thousands that have already received it here this week the 2 that had reactions already carry epipens and also have reactions to other vaccines. They made their decision to have the vaccine because they are nhs staff and they said to them it was worth the risk. Also by the time it gets round to me being offered there will be other vaccines available too 🤷🏼‍♀️ so I'll make my final decision then BUT as it stands, if its going to finally get us back to some sort of normality then I'm all for it. 
I don't no if we are but I feel like England are one of the last countries to still be a million miles away from normality 😩 and not being able to go anywhere or see friends or family and watching our town fall apart with business collapsing is awful.

My husband and I have talked about this so much and we both agree we won’t be getting it. They don’t have enough information about effects.

I'm not sure. I've been told if I have allergies not to have it. Both me and my partner have allergies but not things that would be in a vaccine (though they said not to get it if I have food allergies, which I do) So I have no idea. We both work in care homes though.
