Maternity clothing - when to buy? 👗

Question

Hey ladies,
I’m 17 weeks pregnant currently but only have a slight bump. My normal clothes have been getting tight but, I’m not sure I have enough bump for maternity clothes just yet! 
Should I just buy a bigger size in normal clothes or get maternity in my normal size? 
The stores changing rooms here are still closed due to covid so you can’t try anything on at the moment.

You buy clothes when you can’t fit them not  at what gestational age you are x

I think it depends on what you wear daily. If you are at home or do not need to wear jeans or dress clothing I would just suggest buying sweatpants and leggings in a bigger size. I found that maternity clothes are just really expensive compared to just sizing up, but I ordered from SHEIN this pregnancy and liked everything I got. I think I got 4 pairs of maternity leggings/sweat pants and then 4 oversized sweaters for $120.

I sized up 1 , sized down 1 did alle tricks and still at 38 weeks dont have anything maternity that fits ( pants ) 
I honestly had to go buy leggings in the normal clothes bc they were to baggy or to small or too long and I couldn't find the right size... im 180 and 5'3". 
But I also paid more money for maternity pants that didn't fit vs a bunch if different 5$ leggings and they had some joggers/jeggings that look like real pants i got some of those for work.  And it was all so much cheaper.

I just sized up in most of my clothes, only things I got that were specifically maternity wear was jeans 😊 with dresses, leggings and jumpers I tended to go for stretchier material as it meant more time between having to buy more again. I went up 2 sizes total but was about 3 months between each size up and I can wear the clothes postpartum while my tummy goes down whereas maternity clothes tend to be too big after 😊

Buy maternity clothes in your regular size. You won’t regret it: they are soooooo comfy!!!
