Would you get a tattoo at 6+5?

Had a tattoo appointment scheduled for 5 months for today. Also had my first ultrasound today and baby is looking perfect! I don't want to have to reschedule my tattoo appointment on such short notice and it's a really tiny tattoo on my ankle at a shop I've been to before.

Don't risk what you don't know can happen. Everyone has different bodies and reactions. Your baby is top priority, a tattoo can wait.

I was in the same boat, and had to cancel. My artist said she was prohibited by law from tattooing pregnant women.

Some shops state pregnant women can't get tattoos because they are still unsure what the ink will do to the baby...

I got my last tattoo when I was still nursing even though it's not recommended. I read up on what the risks were, felt the likelihood of any issues was EXTREMELY low, especially going to a reputable shop, and based my decision on that. Not sure if the risk is the same in pregnancy as nursing but I'd do good research and use that info to decide.

I had one done and I didn't even know I was pregnant. Only risk is infection and if you wash it the way you're suppose to its fine.
