Depo shot

I have been on the depo shot birth control for going on 3 years now, I get the shot every 3 months like I’m supposed to.

I was due for my next round this week which I got this past Saturday Dec. 12

BUT I began spotting spotting around Nov. 20th and have not stopped since then. For the past two weeks I have been having VERY heavy periods with bad cramps and lots and lots of blood clots. (Changing my pad about 5 times a day & wearing double)

I did stop getting my period monthly a bit after starting depo. But I usually begin to spot a bit the week I’m due for another shot, but never like this.

I’m going on a month next week of bleeding nonstop. Is this normal?
