Is this normal?

So my cycles are a little irregular. They range anywhere from 27 days to 30 and then randomly every couple of months I’ll get a 40 day cycle. I don’t have pcos or anything I just stay irregular and I have trouble ovulating..this last period was December 14th through the 18th. 5 days as always...I had some spotty discharge today though on my panties that never happens. It was only once and I was just wondering if that was normal? It was a very small spot but I’ve just never had that happen before.
